At YSMT we divide our season into 3 sessions: September-January, January-June, and June-July.
Registration for our "Fall" semester has officially begun. Please click the button below to be taken directly to our registration portal (ClassBug). All students must be registered by September 1st to be considered for a speaking/singing role.
Payments made before September 1st are a lump sum of registration fees, costume fees, and materials fees (including one YSMT t-shirt), and access to all photos/videos of the performances.
All students may register directly to secure their spot in the program. For our elementary and middle school-only programs auditions for speaking/singing roles will take place during the first two weeks of rehearsals.
Pre-auditions are required for students auditioning for the YSMT Company: Grades 7th-12th. Auditions take place August 18th and August 23rd. Students may attend both dates, but it is not required. Advanced sign-up is required via ClassBug.
Those who would like to be part of the supporting ensemble do not have to audition.

Elementary Young Stars
Elementary: 1st-5th
No pre-auditions necessary. All auditions will take place during the first two weeks of rehearsals to give everyone a chance to learn the material and get to know one another.
Junior Young Stars meet on Tuesday/Thursday or Thursdays only depending on program.
Step-By-Step Guide to registration:
1. Choose the program that coordinates with your student's age/level and verify the schedule.
2. Register via ClassBug. All payments made before Sept. 1st are a lump sum of all fees: registration, costumes, materials (includes a YSMT shirt), and access to photos and videos of student's performance(s).
3. Sign-up for the Audition Workshop (included in your registration) on August 17th 4:30pm-6:30pm.
4. Attend classes! *Class start date varies by program. Please verify via ClassBug*.
5. Attend the Parent Meeting on August 31st from 6:00-7:00pm.
Middle School Young Stars
Middle School: 6th-8th

This program meets regularly on Mondays from 5pm-7pm and Wednesdays from 3:30pm-5:30pm

Mini Company
Ages 4, 5, & 6
New This Year!
Our YSMT Mini Company invites rising Young Stars (ages 4, 5, & 6) to participate in the production “Frozen Jr.”
Everyone will play a large role in the show as the full ensemble with multiple song and dance numbers, costumes that sparkle and shine, and select solo opportunities.
**Sign-up only. No audition or audition workshop is required. First class: August 31st.**
This program meets regularly on Thursdays from 3:45pm-4:45pm. Session runs through December.
*Parent Meeting on August 31st from 4:30pm-5:00pm*

What is the YSMT Company?
7th-12th Graders
Our YSMT Company offers a rigorous, comprehensive, and fun program for musical theatre students in grades 7 through 12, who aspire to pursue the arts. Not only will they have the opportunity to participate in 2-3 mainstage musicals per year, our students are exposed to classes in a variety of styles, including acting technique, vocal technique, vocal performance, audition technique, musical theatre history, music theory, pop vocal, stage movement and combat, and stage makeup.

This program meets regularly on Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:30pm-7:30pm.
Step-By-Step Guide to Registering for YSMT Company
**All students 7th-12th grade who are interested in joining the YSMT Company will be accepted into the program. Auditions are solely for placement into each show to decide where your student will shine the most.**
Students may be placed in one or multiple productions. All students will be learning something directly related to a production and/or bettering their craft (i.e. acting workshops, dance intensive, vocal conditioning, etc) during every rehearsal.
1. Verify that the schedule works for your student. Students in the YSMT Company may have additional rehearsals on Mondays and additional earlier hours added to Wednesdays or Fridays depending on necessity.
2. Register for YSMT Company via ClassBug, our 3rd party payment site. All students must be registered by September 1st to be considered for a speaking/singing role. *please note: all payments made before September 1st are a lump sum of all individual fees—Registration, Costume fees, Material fees (includes 1 YSMT t-shirt)
3. Once registered, sign up for an Audition Day via ClassBug. There is not an additional fee for audition days.
4. Attend rehearsals according to the schedule beginning the week of August 28th.
5. Attend the mandatory parent meeting for the YSMT Company on Friday, September 1st: 7pm-8pm.
